Aida Armani

Meet Aida, the owner of Aida Armani, stylist, colorist, consultant, you name it she does it all.

Specialty: Color Correction, highlighting, Natural Brunettes

 Hair always came very natural to her. It was almost automatic. When Aida was 12 years old she had really long hair and never got it cut, until she said something to her mother and her mother took her to this woman who would not listen to her. The woman put her hair in a ponytail and then cut it off at the top of the rubber band.  

After that horrible experience Aida decided that she would become a beautician. She vowed never to make anyone cry and to listen to all of her customers. Growing up she wanted to be a fashion designer but decided to go to college and studied human behavior instead.   She then realized that she needed to do what she loved so she decided to get back into the fashion industry and has been in it since then, dating back 40 years.

While working Aida concentrates on your needs and lets you do all the talking. Aside from owning a salon she likes to indulge in some guilty pleasures like curling up to watch Nip/Tuck. 

Patricia

Specialty: Body Waxing, Facials

A salon could not be a salon without its own estitician.  From manicures to waxing, Patricia does it all with a French touch.  After learning in France, she has been with Aida for 10 years.  Patricia feels that people appreciate the French for their approach to beauty.  She always has something to say and makes you feel right at home.  She even claims that her clients have told her that her Brazilian waxes don’t hurt because they are too busy trying to understand her accent to pay attention to the wax.

Carole

Without a receptionist, who would book the appointments?  Carole's been the receptionist at Aida Armani. She used to be a hairstylist which makes for an exceptional quality in a receptionist.   While you’re waiting to get your hair done you can chat with Carole about what’s happening on the Sopranos. 

Anita

The Office manager makes sure the salon runs smoothly and there is no one better than Anita.  She has been in the business for 17 years.  An office manager should always be organized so it’s a good thing that Anita has to have everything in order. In the morning she is the one who prepares everything for the coming day.  She loves Dennis Leary and of course his show Rescue Me. Anita adds a personal touch by baking homemade goodies and knows each client by their first name.

Jenn

Specialty: All Phases of hair color, as well as Brazilian Straightening Treatment

Jenn is an exceptional colorist! She started at Aida Armani Color Group fresh out of Jean Madeline Aveda Institute in Philadelphia. She has been featured in Philadelphia Magazine as an up and coming colorist on the Main Line. Jenn has trained with the best of the best!

Freddie

Specialty: Hair Color

A hair colorist who’s favorite TV show is Judge Judy?  Well that’s Freddie for you.  He’s always full of surprises.  He is a wonderful colorist who has been in the business for 20 years.  He has always had an interest in hair.  Actually once when he was in beauty school, he made someone’s hair purple.  He has had a lot more practice since then and won’t turn anyone’s hair purple, unless they ask for it (which seems to be a trend these days). He works closely with James, our master colorist.

Nikoletta

Specialty: Hair Extensions, Blow Drying, Up do's

Nikoletta has been with Aida for 4 years.  Some refer to her as Niki. She is a stylist and colorist who has always been big into the entire fashion industry and so decided to make a career of her passion.  Sunday nights Niki enjoys watching Entourage and Monday nights she usually can be caught watching the MTV hit show, The Hills. Nikoletta is proficient at all types of hair extensions and is the hair dresser of choice for the young and trendy.

Kelly

Specialty: Hair Cutting, Blow drying, Up do's

Kelly, is a Scandinavian, so beauty came naturally to her. She has been in the industry for 10 years. She has always been interested in fashion and the industry itself. Don’t crowd her while she works, she needs room to move around a lot. An HBO junkie, she enjoys The Sopranos and Entourage. 

Maria

Specialty: Hair Cutting, Blow Drying

Currently on maternity Leave

Maria, a hair stylist, has been in the industry for 10 years.  She loves making people feel pretty, with a great hair style you cannot feel anything but pretty.  While working, Maria will blow on her client’s hair while using the blow dryer. This technique is very effective in making your hair style last longer. After a hard day of work, Maria likes to wind down watching TV. Her favorite shows include What About Brian, The Hills, and America’s Next Top Model.

Terry

Specialty: Hair Styling

Terry, a stylist, has been in the business for over 15 years.  She is very easy going and very serious about her work.  She’s been interested in hair ever since she was little and has always known that she wanted to be a hair stylist.  Lost is one of her favorite TV shows.

James

Specialty: Master Colorist

Meet James, the master colorist at Aida Armani. After going to college to become a teacher, he decided not to pursue a teaching career since he was not passionate about it like he is with hair.  He always makes sure that he listens to exactly what the customers are saying. He was awarded "Best Colorist" for five consecutive years by Philadelphia Magazine   Ugly Betty fits as his favorite TV Show.

Mark

Specialty: Hair cutter, Permanent Waves

Mark, a premier stylist has been in the industry for 25 years.  He was in design school in New York and started cutting his friends hair when one of his friend’s mothers suggested he make it a career.  Mark also works in Scottsdale Arizona as well as in the city of Philadelphia. He is extremely creative and has the ability to understand what his clients’ desires and needs are.  Big into music, Mark does not watch much television but once in awhile he will fall asleep to South Park.

Celeste

Specialty: Hair Styling, Cutting, Up do's

Celeste has been a top-notch stylist for over 25 years. When she was younger, she used to do her dolls hair, cut and color their hair.  Then she would do anyone’s hair who would sit still long enough for her to style their hair.  She finished high school and hair dressing school around the same time.  With a great sense of humor, Celeste is a big fan of House and Boston Legal.

Dr. Andrea Hanaway

Dr. Andrea Hanaway M.D., a member of FACEP (Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians), has been a practicing Trauma and Emergency Physician for over 30 years. She was one of the first 200 physicians in the United States to receive specialty residency training in Emergency Medicine.

Prior to her Emergency Medicine Residency she had several years training in Obstetrics and Gynecology. She has experience in performing major surgery and in all aspects of women's medicine. She has performed thousands of plastic and repair procedures on patients with injuries ranging from simple to extremely complex. In addition, she has had extensive experience in the field of Dermatology and the diagnosis and treatment of skin lesions.

Dr Hanaway is an amateur Silver and Goldsmith in her spare time, designing and creating jewelry for friends and family. She is looking forward to combining her aesthetic interests and her surgical background in the many uses of laser skin and hair treatment to improve appearance and retard the aging process. She is looking forward to meeting and working with the clients of Aida Armani Color Group.
